The Farm: As Roy sees it
Field notes, repair jobs and the occasional argument with the weather—straight from the man doing the work.
Meet Roy.
Roy owns the farm—and takes its preservation seriously, even if he doesn’t take himself too seriously. He’s the one opening doors, checking fences, fixing what weather and time have worked loose, and deciding which job can wait until tomorrow.
Owner’s View is the farm at working distance: practical, occasionally stubborn and usually covered in dust.
THE HAY FIELD
There is no glamour in getting hay down before the weather turns. That is rather the point.
PAST THE WINDMILL
A quick lap around the fields: old house, red barn, windmill and Roy’s preferred pace—steady.
ROWS DOWN
The field is cut, the rows are straight enough, and the weather has been informed of the schedule.
INSIDE THE HOUSE
Old floors, good light and a clock that has seen several decades come and go. Nothing here needs to pretend.
THE LONG WAY AROUND
Five unhurried minutes across the farm. Roy does not believe every useful view needs a jump cut.
