Kent Farm is a privately owned heritage property in Aldergrove, British Columbia. Formerly known as the Anderlini Farm, its yellow farmhouse, red barn, fields, and outbuildings have appeared in television, films, and commercials for more than two decades.
Today, the property is entering a thoughtful new chapter. The buildings and landscape are being renewed with respect for their history, while this website records the farm’s screen legacy and the restoration work still ahead.
The Name Changed. The Connection Remained.
The property belonged to the Anderlini family when Smallville was filmed here.
Although ownership has changed, their connection to the land continues. The Anderlini grandson, Kamren, and his girlfriend, Maria, still mow and maintain the hayfields, and the family continues to use the hay.
It is a living connection between the farm’s past and present—and a reminder that its history reaches far beyond what appeared on screen.
It Started With a TikTok.
No marketing campaign. No grand plan.
Roy’s grandson posted a simple video from his personal TikTok account about his grandfather owning the Smallville house.
Then seven million people watched it.
That response revealed something the family had never fully understood: this place still meant something to people all over the world.
What had simply become home to Roy was also part of a story millions had carried with them for years.
That video planted the seed for everything that followed.
Preserving What Matters. Preparing for What Comes Next.
Roy began thinking differently about what the farm’s future could look like.
Not how to turn it into something unrecognizable—and not how to freeze it in the past—but how to protect what matters, renew what needs care, and build a future capable of supporting the property for generations to come.
One conversation led to another.
Roy spoke with a neighbour. The neighbour said, “Talk to Chantelle.”
From there, a small group of family, friends, neighbours, filmmakers, and volunteers began bringing their knowledge, equipment, connections, and time to the work.
Together, they have become the Kent Farm Fam.
The restoration is only beginning, and this website will document the work as it unfolds—the repairs, discoveries, stories, setbacks, and ordinary moments between milestones.
Because progress does not have to come at the expense of tradition.
And some things are worth holding on to.
