Privacy

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide when you contact us, place an order, make a contribution, create an account, or subscribe to updates. This may include your name, email address, billing and shipping details, order or contribution information, and the contents of your message.

Our website and service providers may also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring pages, and cookie or analytics data. Complete payment-card numbers are processed by Squarespace and its payment providers; The Kent Farm does not directly store complete card numbers.

How we use information

We use personal information to process and deliver orders, administer contributions, send confirmations and tracking information, respond to inquiries, provide account support, send updates you requested, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain site security, comply with legal obligations, and understand how the website is used.

Service providers and disclosure

We may share only the information reasonably necessary with service providers that operate the website, process payments, fulfil and ship products, deliver email, provide analytics, or support our professional and legal obligations. These may include Squarespace, payment processors, fulfilment partners, carriers, and email or analytics providers. We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect people, property, or the integrity of our services.

Consent, marketing, and cookies

By submitting information or completing a transaction, you consent to its use for the purposes explained at the time of collection and in this policy. Marketing messages are sent only where permitted, and you may unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting us. You can manage non-essential cookies through your browser or available cookie controls, although disabling essential cookies may affect site functions.

Retention, security, and international processing

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution requirements. Where information is used to make a decision that directly affects an individual, it will be retained for at least the period required by applicable law. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Some service providers may process information outside British Columbia or Canada. In those locations, information may be subject to the laws and lawful-access requirements of the relevant jurisdiction.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, or raise a privacy concern by emailing info@thekentfarm.com. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to provide a requested service. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Shop, Shipping & Returns

Made-to-order products and timing

Most Kent Farm merchandise is made to order. Fulfilment normally takes about 2–5 business days before shipping, but this is an estimate rather than a guarantee. Shipping time is additional and depends on the destination, selected service, carrier conditions, customs, weather, and other factors outside our control. The current shipping charge and available delivery estimate are shown during checkout when available. Tracking is sent by email after shipment.

Prices, taxes, and customs

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars unless checkout states otherwise. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are calculated at checkout. International customers are responsible for any import duties, brokerage fees, or local charges imposed by their country.

Changes and cancellations

Contact us immediately if an order needs to be changed or cancelled. We can only change or cancel an order before fulfilment begins. Once production or shipment has started, changes and cancellations may not be possible.

Damaged, defective, incorrect, or lost orders

Inspect your order promptly. If an item arrives damaged, defective, misprinted, incorrect, or incomplete, contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and clear photographs of the item and packaging. If tracking has not updated and the order appears lost in transit, contact us within 30 days after the estimated delivery date. After review, the usual remedy is a replacement or refund, as appropriate.

Returns and exchanges

Because merchandise is made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for buyer’s remorse, an incorrect size or colour selected by the customer, or a change of mind. Please review product descriptions and sizing information before ordering. This limitation does not reduce any non-waivable rights available under applicable consumer-protection law.

Addresses, delivery, and refunds

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Contact us as soon as possible if an address is incorrect; changes cannot be guaranteed after shipment. Additional shipping charges may apply when an order must be resent because an address was incorrect, incomplete, refused, or unclaimed.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Bank processing times vary. Original shipping charges are normally non-refundable unless the refund results from our error or applicable law requires otherwise.

Contribution Terms

The Kent Farm is privately owned and is not a registered charity. Contributions are voluntary, are not charitable donations, are not tax-deductible, and do not receive charitable tax receipts. Contributions support the care, maintenance, preservation, and documentation of the property and may be applied to the area of greatest current need at the owner’s reasonable discretion.

The contribution amount, frequency, and total due are shown before payment. A recurring contribution renews at the selected amount and frequency until cancelled. You can cancel future renewals at any time by signing in to your customer account, opening Recurring donations, selecting the contribution, and choosing Cancel recurring donation. You may also email info@thekentfarm.com for help. Please cancel before the next scheduled renewal. Cancellation stops future charges and does not automatically refund completed contributions.

Confirmation emails are sent after transactions. Refund requests for duplicate charges, processing errors, or other exceptional circumstances are reviewed individually. We may decline or refund a contribution where required by law or where accepting it would create an operational, legal, or reputational concern.

Website and Property Terms

Website content is provided for general information and may be updated without notice. Historical and screen references are presented for factual and documentary purposes. The Kent Farm is independently owned and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially connected to any referenced studio, network, franchise, production, performer, or rights holder.

The Kent Farm remains private property and is not open for unscheduled or drop-in visits. Website content, maps, photographs, or historical references do not grant permission to enter driveways, fields, buildings, or gated areas; block roads; operate drones; conduct commercial activity; or otherwise access the property. Visitors are responsible for obeying signs, laws, road rules, property boundaries, and current public-access conditions.

Unless otherwise identified, original text, photographs, graphics, and site materials belong to The Kent Farm or are used with permission. They may not be reproduced, republished, sold, or used commercially without written permission. External links are provided for context and convenience; their content, availability, and privacy practices are controlled by their respective owners.

Contact, Filming & Partnerships

We aim to respond to genuine inquiries within 3–5 business days. Complex historical, rights, location, or production requests may take longer.

Commercial filming, photography, media access, events, partnerships, and drone activity require advance written approval. Please provide the proposed dates, purpose, intended use, crew and vehicle count, areas requested, equipment needs, insurance information, required permits, and a primary contact. Allow at least 10 business days for an initial review. Approval is not guaranteed and may require proof of insurance, permits, location fees, safety controls, confidentiality terms, and a signed location agreement.
